How would one register a name if one were using a fake email address? Not like I'd ever do such a thing....

Email addresses have nothing to do with it. Any name registered through any email address (real or not) had to be approved by me, Gor or Dave....
If you're jonesin' for an MM, you've got a few more minutes before I give up on Bob the Builder leaving and just try to sleep anyway....
