Proud Uncle moment of the day

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Sun Feb 15, 2009 5:02 pm

My nephew, Bill, received his Eagle Scout medal this afternoon.

It was cool. He's a good kid, I tell ya.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Congratulations, Bill! Quite an accomplishment these days and it's good to see the family
support he's getting. You have every right to be proud. :D

I think that in todays world it's a HUGE accomplishment to achieve Eagle rank in scouting. For all too many, scouting is a 'kids' thing that is no longer "in" once you reach high school age. It takes some real dedication plus some guts to handle the peer pressure to stick with the program all the way to Eagle. Hats off to Bill.

Congrats!

My proud auntie moment was yesterday when my nephew managed to get my wireless printer connected to my Mac!
