Continental Airlines suddenly doesn't like Citbank CCs
I am sure they have singled me out, of course. Nothing wrong with the card, according to the Card People. But Continental's magic web site won't ID it. Fortunately, I have another card. Unfortunately, I didn't want to use it for this flight. I am sure this displays some major character flaw, probably bitterly, corrosively, & also cluelessly. I had to use it, though.

Sometimes the computers just burp, and if you run it again, they don't. But if you've already switched to another one, there's no telling.

So I went to Citibank's site & got another magic virtual #. Which didn't work. Either.
By this time I was scared I'd lose the cheap, conveniently timed flight, which was just as cheap but not quite as conveniently timed as the flight on another airline I'd already lost by not buying it yesterday.
Which is why I whipped out another card. The real test would have been to use my real Citibank card. But I like to keep "only virtual card air flights" on that card. It could be what is broken is the link on Citibank's own site to their virtual card program IDing mechanism. It worked over the weekend, & every previous time I've used it, though.
Ran it several times. A missing piece of info here is that this was the magic virtual card #, which Citibank gives you in such a way that it links to your real card #, but only through Citibank's site, not the outside world's sites.Sometimes the computers just burp, and if you run it again, they don't.
