Stoopid snowplows, part two

#1 Post by NellyLunatic1980 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 5:04 am

Overnight, we had a thin layer of ice topped off with between 1 and 2 inches of snow.

Once again, my road has not been plowed.

But this morning, I'm not even bothering to drive to work. I'm taking a personal day. :)

As am I - 3" of snow on the ground and still falling (more ice than snow, though). I trudged to the bus stop and waited for half an hour but no bus came, so I trudged back home and decided not to go into the office. I suspect there won't be too many people in there anyway.

I plan to load a bunch of our documents that need revision onto my memory stick tonight, in case the weather really is as bad as they're predicting. The weatherguessers have been inaccurate enough, in both directions, that it's better to plan ahead. It can help being a paper pusher.

Of course, GW may also stay home tomorrow, in which case it will not be ALL work.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

My street never gets plowed until the street crew has nothing else to do, but at least the main road to Mecca was in better shape this morning than it was Sunday night. I'll cut them some slack since it was still snowing when I went to work last night, but my car is still doing a lot of slipping and sliding everywhere. Wheeeee.......

The Tackymobile seats 7, and if you dig under the seats you'll find a clean shirt, a winter coat, a football, a blanket, maybe a pillow in the back seat, a bag of pretzels....

We haven't cleaned out since the Giants-Eagles game, CLEARLY...

You want a fun ride on snow and ice, hop on in with two girls from the south who don't have a clue how to drive in it!
