I've never been a real Shanahan fan, that vein in his temple always has me nervous that he's going to stroke out at any moment. But 7 running backs get IRed in one season???? That's got to be some sort of record.

At this point it's like being a running back for the Broncos is the equivalent of being the drummer for Spinal Tap.

Of all the NFL firings, this is the only one that surprised me.

It floored me. There was talk of a 24-24 record in the past three years, but there are coaches still coaching who have worse records. There was talk of the meltdown, and that was just waiting to happen, with all the injuries.

I am bereft and don't think Bowlen can find a replacement anywhere near as good.

This could make Shanahan some real coin. Now he needs the Jets, Browns, etc to get into a bidding war. He is a proven winner.

I was waiting to see if you were sad or not.

Bereft said it all.

I am sorry.

stunning

he and the owner both cried at the news conference

the 7 injured rb's dint hurt them much.Their defense looked like they played with 8 men.

i saw a scrawl on espn that said either the denvers or jets was going to make scott paoli an offer he couldnt refuse to run their team.

Cowher would be a fabu fit for denver.
