Bunny FooFoo

#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Fri Dec 19, 2008 11:08 am

Last night Emma asked me to keep Zap upstairs with me because she was going to bring in her bunny FooFoo to play with.

I had just gotten him out of the way when Emma came in screaming and crying telling me that her bunny was dead.

I calmed her down a bit and went out into the garage to see what was going on.

When I got to his cage, FooFoo was leaning against the door, all perky and ready to play.

He had been playing dead for Emma, something that he has always done, but she didn't check to see if he was really alive.

I brought him in the house, with his ears perky and nose twitching, and she was surprised and incredibly relieved.

Those darn bunnies are such jokers. They think they are so funny.

That's why I think I'm funny if I chase them a little.

Was it scooping up the field mice and bopping them on the head....?

Maddie's bunny Izzy never did, but FooFoo has done it since he was a baby bunny. He just gets very relaxed, so relaxed he looks dead.

Emma's bunny FooFoo pretended he was dead,
Then he'd find those field mice and bop them on the head.
When he went to parties, he wore a dress of red.
He was quite the little joker until he went to bed.

He woke up in the morning and decided he was bored.
He was hungry for some acorns, so he stole a squirrel's hoard.
He found some fun in other ways by stirring up discord
Until the moment he returned to pining for the fjiord.

Wait, that's different from deliberately playing dead!

Maybe FooFoo is just one of those Californian bunnies who are deeply into meditation! 8)

Or he's getting some other greens with his lettuce.

We had a bunny Foo Foo for over 8 years. He was a dwarf rabbit and gave us many hours of enjoyment. When he went to bunny heaven, he had the class to wait until Christmas and New Year's were over. By Jan. 2 he just couldn't hang on any longer. I still miss him.

Of course!

(When we get together for the group singing, I might sneak around and correct the spelling of fjord.)
