Early voting problems in West Virginia

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 1:33 pm

Some West Virginia early voters are reporting that touch-screen voting machines are switching votes from Obama to McCain and from Democratic candidates for other offices to the competing Republican candidates. Apparently, these machines do not provide a voter-verified paper trail. --Bob

And the problem is????

Perhaps they should contact ACORN to see if they can "fix" the problem.

Probably that the machines don't work too well if they get chewing tobacco in them.

This is why Florida switched from touch screen to ballots scanned by computer. Crap like this was happening here.

I don't trust any of the all electronic voting stuff. Reminds me of elections in Venezuela or Cuba.

AND THE WINNER IS.......SURPRISE! BY UNANIMOUS VOTE IT IS....[put your own despot here]

And everyone is thinking "wtf? How can it be unanimous? I KNOW it is not unanimous". But still..
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Paper, paper, paper.

There's a lot to be said for it.
I am about 25% sure of this.

For drugs, they require that all computer systems involved in making them are tested and fully validated that they work correctly each and every time they're used. before being put in place. For voting, apparently, similar standards aren't necessary, or else they use the missile system test criteria, with only specific controlled aspects and targets are checked.

Not to create another bureaucracy or anything, but we need a bureau of Quality Assurance in government, to make sure that they follow their own rules and regulations. Sheesh!

Oh, and Sir_G, nice relevant comment.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
