I could have made it worse, but I had compassion for the players. I thought the Marilyn Manson one was bad enough.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Your latest avatar is really scary.

That was fast. Did your rules ever mention when the deadline for submitting answers was? If so, I must have missed it. I figured the Friday question would be open until Monday. I had Wayne, Jimmy, and Merrill, so I was holding off on answering in case another Osmond popped into my head. Oh well, whatever.

Re: Week 1 scoring
Whew, thank goodness I remembered Merrill! I was wavering between the correct spelling & "Merle" but managed to dredge up enough of a flashback to my pre-teen years to get it.
Now, I was a teen girl in the 70's too, and I may remember more Osmondana than is healthy, but it wasn't because I liked them. Somewhere in that time, Donny started nudging my Twuest Twu Wuv that evah Wuvved -- David Cassidy!!!!! <3<3<3
- off the covers of Tiger Beat and 16!
And I began to *hate* Donny Osmond with the white-hot fire of a hundred nuns! And the rest of his boring brothers too! Well, except for Jay -- somehow I decided he was kinda cute & gave him a pass. But not a Kitchen Pass!
Also 'round that time (end of 7th grade, beginning of 8th IIRC), I had the good fortune to be exposed to a better class of radio station (FM Rock; thanks WDVE !
) and heard songs like "Paranoid" and "Cross-Eyed Mary" and "Black Dog." And I pretty much turned my back on the Bubble-Gum of my (earlier) youth and never looked back
Except that my David Cassidy <3<3<3 posters stayed on my ceiling -- yep, right above my bed! -- till I moved out of my parents' house. Hey, a girl can dream can't she?
My brother now owns the house we grew up in, and he's since painted the 3rd floor ceiling -- but I think you can still see that tape marks!

Re: Week 1 scoring
You are correct, I had not posted any timeline other than saying I was going to post the player's scores this weekend. But I am nothing if not magnanimous. I will give you credit for the six you had in your head. I will amend the scores now.TheConfessor wrote:That was fast. Did your rules ever mention when the deadline for submitting answers was? Did I get credit for Marilyn Manson? I think you missed me on that one.
