Fixing our bridges would cost only $140 billion ...

#1 Post by mntetn » Fri Oct 10, 2008 9:52 am

... according to this report:
At least $140 billion is needed to repair and modernize the nation's 590,000 bridges ... but state and local officials are at a loss as to how to raise the massive amount of funds necessary for construction.
Here's an idea: how 'bout a Federal bailout?

Suddenly, that does not seem like all that much money.

It's all his fault. That'll be $10.

And we'll need to spruce up the bridges so all the foreclosed families have a place out of the weather.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.
