An example of this is months and months ago Kay and I were going back and forth about colorizing text and I threw out some stupid, incoherent crap just as a joke and to demonstrate my own ineptitude. Well, guess what? Next morning all my mistakes were fixed, the color of the text was as probably as someone had "thought" I wanted them to be, but THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. Thereby, my meaning and intent were completely altered. PISSED ME OFF! I decided in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't worth getting ruffled about and starting a brouhaha, but maybe it was.

I don't know who did this, and if it occurred before Dave remodeled we probably can't find out. I can tell you, though, that it wasn't me. --Bob

And hopefully never will again.

Transcripts and adding spoilerizers are one thing.

Fixing other people's normal posts are another thing entirely. Complete no-no. Not even mods on heavily moderated boards do that.

And I am not fond of mods checking IP addresses for any reason- not even to assign "Merry Man" tags (I would think that a "Merry Man" account would become obvious pretty quickly).

DEFINITELY. It's not definately, not definetly, not defntly......not anything but definitely.

And while it's open to other useage, "cannot" is most usually one word. Is it not, grammarians?

Maybe because in order to lose your head, it has to come loose first?

IIRC, that was because the color tags were mismatched and showing in the post. I'd never remove valid ones.

Considering what DK has written about that post, my guess is, the mismatched color tags were done on purpose.

This is why this kind of stuff by moderators is out of bounds. It may have been an honest error, OR, you might have changed the entire point of DK's post.

Correct the transcripts- fine.

Spoilerize spoiler information- fine

Correct a poster's typos and mistakes on posts un-related to the above- definite NO-NO. As I said, I go to heavily moderated boards, and even those mods would never (repeat NEVER) do this.
