And, most damning of all, what it says about his ability to manage a budget and the state's economy. He paid $4300?! Anybody knows you can take $100 into any strip club in the country and get perfectly good service and keep the $4200. Idiot.
Not only that, but he's the one who campaigned to keep jobs IN New York.
How dare he outsource high-paying jobs.

I don't really understand how these things work, but I had a good thought. If the blind lieutenant governor becomes governor, maybe we can get him an ugly girlfriend for less. He'll never know, and it could save the taxpayers of New York a lot of money.
My good buddy NFL_Referee and his ugly girlfriend are going to be very offended by this, assuming she reads this to him....

Why DO political wives do that? It's one thing to Stand By Your Man when you know he is innocent and that he is being falsely accused of something (as Hillary did all those times that Bill was falsely accused of things by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy), but when there is no question that the guy is guilty (as when he admits to his, um, indiscretion, as Spitzer did), why is it necessary for the wife to have to stand there and be on public display like that? I could understand it if she were standing there with his shredded nuts hanging from her teeth, but it seem that she is usually being The Supportive Spouse, and I wonder, supportive of what?
I believe this is a tactic to establish plausible deniabiliity, just in case the husband happens to take out the garbage some night, trip over the cat on the back porch, lose his balance, do a double-flip off the top step, and land smack dab on top of three .38 bullets that just happen to be passing through the neighborhood. At least, that's why I'd do it.
LOL!!!!!!
I'd been almost laughing throughout most of the this thread, but this did it!!

I wonder what they do ...
Let's see ... 20 hours of work ... a year.
Apparently, the lady in question took a train ride from New York to Washington DC and back and spent two and a half hours in Spitzer's room.
I would guess that the $4300 I heard he spent (which might have included a tip) was an all-day rate plus reimbursement for transportation as well. That's still a lot of money for something he could have gotten in the hotel bar for about $4200 less.

The late Ann Landers used to advise women in situations like this to ask themselves, "Am I better off with him or without him?" Maybe Mrs. Spitzer believes that she's better off with him. Plus there is something to be said for the Christian virtue of forgiveness.

Not only is that dumb, it's illegal. It's a federal crime to transport pros across state lines. It carries a maximum 20-year jail sentence.
So this pro cost Spitzer $4,300 for just 3 hours and possibly his political future, his family, and his freedom. Governor, she better be one nice piece of ass.
