I haven't posted for a while and I have been only barely following the bored, but this thread has garnered my interest!

Let me see if I got this straight:

Nelly hosted an LS.
Sometime during this LS, several BBs made comments that offended/stressed out Nelly.
LS was discontinued suddenly.
Nelly came back recently to announce that because of all the mean things that were said about him, he had a heart attack and almost died.
People doubt this.

Am I close?

The only thing I'm wondering is what was the gist of the comments directed at Nelly that caused him to keel over. They must have been really outlandish and hurtful.

Okay, so I can think like a nelly.

He might be upset that he changed his name, which to him might have been like changing his life and yous guys dissed that. You kept calling him the name that meant he was not a pastor.

Kinda like, I will not call appa appa, he is freakin' holtdad.

I have read in the newspapers that there are people in the world who knew Barack Obama when he was a little boy, and they still think of him as and call him "Barry." That doesn't mean they don't respect his position as President of the United States. I am reasonably certain that there are people still alive in Bavaria who knew Pope Benedict XVI when he was a youngster, and they still call him the name by which they called him then -- Joseph, Joey, or perhaps even Ratzy. That does not mean they disrespect his position in the Roman Catholic Church. I don't comprehend why Pastor Fireball [not, I suspect, his real name] would require greater deference than either of those two.

Darn it, I still can't get people to call me Zhoodeet, even though I repeatedly have professed my preference for that pronunciation of the correctly spelled but badly pronounced version of the name given to me at birth. Almost everybody I know is an ignorant juicebag!

LOL! I was thinking along those same lines.

Of course, I just changed my name to reflect the addition of a third child, and I never can remember which BBs dare to dishonor my baby girl by utilizing my former name.

(Good thing that Cal does not change his name every time that he has a child. Maybe he will change it to "ItzaBoy" one of these times. <g> )

Just this year... I think we'll be back next season. 1-12 makes it seem like we're a miserable, no-talent team... but we're far from that. We've certainly got talent. I feel confident that the new coach will get us back on track.

And in retrospect, I feel like I shouldn't have been so harsh on heels in my reply to Nelly's announcement that only drug him in as an innocent bystander. Despite heels' close association with Nelly, he actually has some admirable qualities that I like about him.... and yes, when I find a target that's easy to pick on, I sometimes find it hard to stop myself.....

I apologize to you heels for my statement....
