Carry over to Aug 3rd so I can meet you. I will be there one way or another.
I am so excited for you!
You have helped so many people pass the test, this is payback time!

Congrats!mikehardware wrote:Got the call about 9:20 this morning - right in the middle of a job interview. (At least that'll be memorable for them.)
Talked with Jordan, she's going to talk to my wife and make the travel arrangements.
Flying July 30. Taping July 31, with possible carryover to August 3. Returning the day after taping.
I'll need PAFs volunteers for both dates. Pop culture, presidents, literature, foreign cities off the top of my head, I've got a whole list somewhere.

I wish that I could offer my PAF services, but I will be out-of-town on a business trip on July 31 (travelling back that day).
I presume they're calling in the random order folks are pulled from the pool, not by time zone.gailmail5 wrote:BTW, I was assuming eastern time zones would get the first calls - do we know if they've moved into central and mountain yet?
I'd told my family to not call on my cell today, but I thought someone forgot. When I saw the area code, I was shocked. It sure surprised the guys who were interviewing me. It probably didn't help that we were in a secure area where cell phones are prohibited, but I quickly explained and got escorted back out front to finish the call.geoffil wrote:Great news! When the phone rang did you instantly know it was THE CALL or were you surprised?
I figured at 9am EDT they had to start in the east, so why not keep going like that...? I'd rather have it your way since I'm on the East Coast and time keeps a-tickin'...MarleysGh0st wrote:I presume they're calling in the random order folks are pulled from the pool, not by time zone.gailmail5 wrote:BTW, I was assuming eastern time zones would get the first calls - do we know if they've moved into central and mountain yet?
You're lucky they didn't have any technological safeguards in place to actually block those prohibited cell calls!mikehardware wrote:I'd told my family to not call on my cell today, but I thought someone forgot. Damn! I kew I should have scheduled a job interview. That's when I got my R2 call back in 2000.mikehardware wrote:Got the call about 9:20 this morning - right in the middle of a job interview. (At least that'll be memorable for them.)

I agree that the original FF format was not very intuitive, but that was actually an advantage to those who anticipated the difficulty and practiced to become familiar with it. I used both hands to enter my answers, so with the old format, I could not think of myself as having a left hand and a right hand. Instead, they were my upper hand and my lower hand -- the two left answers on the screen were A and C, but the two left answers on the keypad were A and B.Weyoun wrote:Do we know if the FF format is the same as before? What I mean is, when I did, it was set up in this irritating manner:
the screen listed answers as
A B
C D
but the input panel was
A B C D
Which took some adjustment.
I ask because it wouldn't hurt for Mike and others to practice, because that was tricky. Of course Mike has been on before, so he knows this as well.
Found it!ulysses5019 wrote:So, is this the old one?
