Good guesses, everybody.
I'm pretty sure that P&G does not own Avon.
Clue 5 coming right up.

1. Consumer product
2. Introduced in the 1970s
3. This particular product is a Procter and Gamble brand
4. Keeps mosquitoes and bees away.
5. Wipe your TV screen with this to keep dust off.

crud. I knew it was too early in the clues for it to be off or cutter or any of those.

PEA WINS!
Well done.
All seven clues and the homage reference in a minute.

Downy Fabric Softener Sheets
I flipped a coin, as I didn't know which ones P&G made.
I still am not sure, sprots may have given it to me just for fabric softener sheets.

Congrats to Pea!
I am happy about being so close. I had read about the fabric softener sheets dust thing somewhere. But, got the wrong brand and was too late anyway.

See, Snuggle Fabric Softener would have been funnier.
And it would have annoyed LB to have Snuggle Bear show up in a 7 clues thread.

Great guess, Trevor. I know you would have gotten it on Clue 7 with the brand-specific fragrances.
1. Consumer product
2. Introduced in the 1970s
3. This particular product is a Procter and Gamble brand
4. Keeps mosquitoes and bees away.
5. Wipe your TV screen with this to keep dust off.
6. Sold in the laundry section
7. Fragrances available include Original, Awakenings, Pure Essentials, Fresh Scent.
Bounce Dryer Sheets
The homage part is that Skoop and I both used to write some consumer product games, and Hermillion would inevitably guess "Bounce dryer sheets" on the first clue. Then I wrote a game with Bounce as the answer. And she didn't get it until Clue 5!

Nope -- I wold have required Bounce because of Clue 7.

Back in the introductions, you said you were going to host 7 Clues because some newbies were asking about it. Were any of them actually here to play today?

You're right, Christie.
I can't believe I missed that!
Now I probably can't use Snuggle Bear in a game.

No, but they'll be able to have a look. If they like it, they'll ask if there might be more games. If they don't, they won't say anything.

Thanks for doing this Sprotsie! This game has a special place in my heart, as it was the forum that got me to open up way back when and fully commit to this community. Hopefully y'all think that was a GOOD thing!
Good to see "some" here playing who are usually asleep by the time FNGD gets underway! (coughcoughPeacough). Way cool.

Sprots,
Sorry I didn't get here until Game 4. It is really a fun game and thanks for doing this!
And sorry I gave you a hard time.
But I know you can take it!
Who is Denver playing tomorrow?
