So sorry for your loss but glad your mom got to call the shots and died peacefully. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I glad that she's at peace and that you're at peace with the process, but I'm very sorry for your loss. --BobT_Bone0806 wrote:Mom passed yesterday morning. Like Babe Ruth, she called her shot. Sunday she saw quite a bit of him and was talking to him a lot. She was aware of us, too, and responded to us, but she was going back and forth between the two worlds.
Sunday would've been Dad's 77th birthday. My sister asked Mom if she was going to be with Dad on his birthday, and she thought for a minute then said.."No..tomorrow". 7:20 the next morning she was gone. Her passing was pretty peaceful, but the last few years of her life were full of discomfort and struggle. I can only hope that, as I experience the same difficulties she did, that I face them with even half the dignity and courage that she did.
Of course we are going to miss her like crazy, but along with the mourning comes the relief in knowing that she has shed her disfunctional body and is now dancing again.
My cousin wrote a blog entry about Mom and she has captured Mom's essence very very well. Here it is if you are interested in reading it...

The next couple of days will be very busy, obviously, but things have quieted down for tonight, and I wanted to share the news with my friends here. I'll be back in a few days.

Thank you my friends. Your words lift my spirits profoundly.
Mom had a loving bon voyage. There is some business stuff to deal with, which will last a while, and when we are ready to do so, the passing down of "stuff", but when that time comes there will be no bickering between the siblings..if there IS any, it will most likely be of the "you take this".."no, YOU take it".."no, Mom would want YOU to have it" variety!
Right now, I have a couple more calls to make to start the settli8ng of Mom's legal affairs, then I will spend the rest of the weekend letting things settle in my heart and in my head. Thank you again for your support. I love you guys.

So sorry to read of your Mom's passing. Your love for her came through very clearly in your post.
But as you said - she was ready, she knew it was time, and it was peaceful.
And I am sure the dance was wonderful.
My heartfelt condolences to you and to all of her loved ones.
