His two cats have a Pavlovian response to Millionaire. The music tells them its lunch time, so they run to their food dish when they hear it.
Meredith mentions if he gets to a million dollars, he would get a Capital One check with his name spelled properly. This must have been the contestant who followed Sunflower.
The Ali Center isn't finished yet, unfortunately, because of problems raising the funds. They've just hired a new director.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$300

I had to take a reading proficiency course in French when I was at the seminary, but I would have had no idea about this one. Since the 50/50 won't help and I've already used ATA, time to PAF. This might be a tough one to Google, however.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$25,000

My "social misfit" card remains in good standing.
As stated earlier in this thread, Pearl Jam did not form until 1990. Duran Duran and Wham were huge that year, but I always found it curious that Blondie was included in the song since their heyday had long since past (I believe their last top 10 hit was in 1981 and that by 1985 they had very minor hits at best, but I'll have to check this).earendel wrote:$2000

Thanks. One of the drawbacks to posting without reading the thread is not benefitting from other people's comments. My gut reaction was that 1985 was too early for Pearl Jam, but since I don't know much about music after 1975 I couldn't be sure enough.starfish1113 wrote:As stated earlier in this thread, Pearl Jam did not form until 1990. Was he in Bowling for Soup or did he merely write the song?starfish1113 wrote:This song was written by a guy who went to my high school. He graduated a year after I did in, fittingly, 1985.
I just confirmed this. Their last top ten was their #1 hit (and one of my LEAST favorite #1s of the decade), Rapture. By 1985, they were no longer charting and in fact have had only one more Hot 100 hit since, reaching into the 60s with Maria in the mid-90s. Interestingly (to me anyway), Blondie had only four top ten hits, but all of them hit #1.starfish1113 wrote:(I believe their last top 10 hit was in 1981 and that by 1985 they had very minor hits at best, but I'll have to check this).
No. His name is Mitch Allan (although in high school he was Mitch Scherr) and he is in a group called SR-71.earendel wrote:Was he in Bowling for Soup or did he merely write the song?starfish1113 wrote:]This song was written by a guy who went to my high school. And if you're familiar with the song, there's a line that goes:starfish1113 wrote:As stated earlier in this thread, Pearl Jam did not form until 1990.
