Spoiler
1. There you go making my heart beat again, heart beat again, heart beat again
There you go making me feel like a kid wont you do it do it one time
There you go pulling me right back in, right back in, right back in
And I know I'm never letting this go

Stuck Like Glue - Sugarland

I think this is the only Sugarland song I know, but I love it. The video never failed to crack my ass up.....

2. "The way I see it," he said
"You just can't win it...
Everybody's in it for their own gain
You can't please 'em all
There's always somebody calling you down

3. There's a boy I know, he's the one I dream of
Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above
Ooh I lose control, can't seem to get enough
When I wake from dreaming, tell me is it really love

How Will I Know - Whitney Houston

And my fave Whitney song! Any song she sung while wearing a big ass, floppy bow on her head is a winner.....

4. He just takes the tractor another round
And pulls the plow across the ground
And sends up another prayer
He says Lord I never complain I never ask why
But please don't let my dream run dry

5. But we got it on together
In such a super way
We held each other close at night
And traded dreams each day

Rocky - Austin Roberts

My little pre-teen heart just loved that tragic young love dies songs that were really popular for a brief period after Love Story and Sunshine hit it big.....

6. But parked in a rickety old garage
Is a brand new, shiny red Super Stock Dodge

Little Old Lady from Pasadena - Beach Boys

I don't think they mean the one in Texas. Was there ever anything of note there other than Gilley's? And when your biggest claim to fame is having a nightclub by the one cousin that never had a sex scandal, well......

7. Oh, put me to work in the school book store
Check out counter and I got bored
Teacher was lookin' for me all around
Two hours later you know where I was found

Smokin' in the Boys Room - Brownsville Station

It would be funny if there was a town in Texas called Motley....

8. Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasies
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me

Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler

9. Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina
Wicked and evil while casting a spell
My love was deep for this Mexican maiden
I was in love, but in vain I could tell

El Paso - Marty Robbins

Damn, I almost used this as my nostalgia song a few days ago and I haven't heard or thought about this song in years. What are the odds?

10. No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my experimental game
Just human nature

I Kissed a Squirrel - Katy Perry

Home of Roger the Dodger Clemens! Kudos to you for keeping it pure and finding a Katy who spelled it the same way!

11. I still see her standing by the water
Standing there lookin' out to sea
And is she waiting there for me?
On the beach where we used to run

Galveston - Glen Campbell

12. I remember when we first started
You came to me and you were broken hearted
I took you in and wiped all your tears away
I gave you lovin', more than any other gave

Theme?

Texas towns in the name of the song or artist

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game.

Here I Am in Dallas, Where the Hell Are You? - Faron Young

I was going to use Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind, but this one was a favourite (along with El Paso) on the set list of every band my dad was even in, so it just felt right...

5 Point Bonus: In the classic movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", when Pee Wee is on the phone with Dottie back home, what song does he get the locals to sing along to in order to prove where he is.

Deep in the Heart of Texas
It's the Final Countdown.....

Spoiler
My bonus song was a guess, it seemed like the best sing along of all the Texas songs I could think of, so it's got a chance.

If the bonus had been what is the real name of Gov Goodhair, I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Dallas of getting it right.
It's the Final Countdown.....

1. There you go making my heart beat again, heart beat again, heart beat again
There you go making me feel like a kid wont you do it do it one time
There you go pulling me right back in, right back in, right back in
And I know I'm never letting this go
Stuck Like Glue - Sugarland (I think I only know of this song thanks to the dreaded country phase Ponderosa went through on their music selection last year. I did look up the video for it thanks to a few comments made about it.... I think it would work better if whatehername kidnapped Bon Jovi....)

2. "The way I see it," he said
"You just can't win it...
Everybody's in it for their own gain
You can't please 'em all
There's always somebody calling you down
Free Man In Paris - Joni Mitchell

3. There's a boy I know, he's the one I dream of
Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above
Ooh I lose control, can't seem to get enough
When I wake from dreaming, tell me is it really love
How Will I Know - Whitney Houston

4. He just takes the tractor another round
And pulls the plow across the ground
And sends up another prayer
He says Lord I never complain I never ask why
But please don't let my dream run dry
Amarillo Sky - Jason Aldean (Way too country for this game, and I think it was a shutout. Maybe Kiki woulda gotten it since she was so enamored with Big Green Tractor....)

5. But we got it on together
In such a super way
We held each other close at night
And traded dreams each day
Rocky - Austin Roberts

6. But parked in a rickety old garage
Is a brand new, shiny red Super Stock Dodge
The Little Old Lady From Pasadena - Jan & Dean (You will never, ever get credit from me for putting The Beach Boys on a Jan & Dean song.... except for in one future game [SPOILER ALERT!]. Yes, I know they performed it live, but then again, Celine Dion probably at some point sang "Big Balls" at a concert, and I won't be accepting her for that song any time soon...)

7. Oh, put me to work in the school book store
Check out counter and I got bored
Teacher was lookin' for me all around
Two hours later you know where I was found
Smokin in the Boys Room - Brownsville Station (Motley Crue wouldn't gotten you credit, but I think everyone who got this one knew to answer BS. BTW, there is a Motley County in Texas, but no city by that name that I can find...)

8. Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasies
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Holding Out For a Hero - Bonnie Tyler

9. Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina
Wicked and evil while casting a spell
My love was deep for this Mexican maiden
I was in love, but in vain I could tell
El Paso - Marty Robbins

10. No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my experimental game
Just human nature
I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry (The premier Annie Bonus song. Katy's sharing a surname with Gov Goodhair was completely coincidental, especially since I was only inspired to use that MM 12 hours before I posted the game.... if I ever docked mini Bieber points, she would lose them for not going to the MM I had planned on hosting this game with! :P )

11. I still see her standing by the water
Standing there lookin' out to sea
And is she waiting there for me?
On the beach where we used to run
Galveston - Glen Campbell

12. I remember when we first started
You came to me and you were broken hearted
I took you in and wiped all your tears away
I gave you lovin', more than any other gave
Spring Love - Stevie B. (Sorry, but this piece of 80's schlock has been forgotten by apparently everyone but Music Choice, and it was the only somewhat familiar "Spring" song I could find, which is kind of embarrassing since it's a damn season and should be in a lot of song titles....)

Theme? - Texas cities in the title or artist (Had to include city/town/municipality whatever in some way to get credit. Just saying they were songs about Texas was not good enough...)

5 Point Bonus: In the classic movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", when Pee Wee is on the phone with Dottie back home, what song does he get the locals to sing along to in order to prove where he is. - (clap clap clap clap) Deep in the Heart of Texas!

I awarded a bonus point to everyone who included the claps in their answer! YAY!!!!1

Theme? Oooh, towns in Texas! (I haven't heard of Pasadena, but I know the others)

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game. Lagrange, ZZ Top (I don't know for sure it's a town in TX, but since ZZ Top are Texans, I'm making a leap here...)

5 Point Bonus: In the classic movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", when Pee Wee is on the phone with Dottie back home, what song does he get the locals to sing along to in order to prove where he is. Deep in the Heart of Texas?

JJC Points:

smiler gets a supermax for his Texas town answers, especially Debby Boone doing Dallas....

frank gets a JJC point for Phyllis playing Texas (coulda got the supermax had she done Dallas too)...

vandal gets a supermax for his answer to the bonus...

Beebs gets a supermax for consistently fucking up the spoiler and for her usual highbrow humor....

Eyegor gets 2 JJC points, one for each boob....

Jessie gets a supermax for Lorena, Dumas, the Alamo, doughnuts, and getting me in with the Gov....

mini gets 2 JJC points for keeping the Sprotsie Baby flame alive since someone is trying to ignore it, and for sniffing out a dying song 10 miles away but not knowing it's name or who did it....

clem gets a supermax for more artists nobody has ever heard of, and for being so full of himself....

elwood gets a JJC point for the King of the Hill fact (I think the only other time KotH has ever come up in the history of LSWE was when I invoked Chuck Mangione)...

TBone gets 2 JJC points for Waco Me Up Before You Go Go...

Saucy gets 2 JJC points for Pee Wee doing the Mickey Mouse club, hopefully not in his playhouse....

mrkelley gets a JJC point for the Gov Goodhair bonus....

Hottie gets a JJC point for the only Texas town Krox I had to look up. I was beginning to wonder if there was a Turtle, TX....

Marley gets a JJC point for a nice try....

Search gets a JJC point for remembering the Alamo!!!

melly gets a JJC point for only having one Texas joke answer...

Fanny gets 2 JJC points for pondering a Motley in Texas, and for Roger Clemens! I'm pretty sure at some point while making up this game I was looking for an Alvin song, but wasn't going to drag the damn Chipmunks out for a game....

Check your scores, because I found out for some reason I was having a hell of a time remembering to count up theme credit, especially for the early players....

smiler 13+5

I didn't get the song, but I knew Katy because it's Roger Clemens' home town.

Did you know there is also a Perry, Texas?

Now you do.

I knew of Karmin (I thought that was the name of the duo, but I guess it's just her, huh?) because of this song, which I thought I was going to torture my poor rap-loving oldest son with, but he wound up loving it even more than I did:
