It seems that Carrie Underwood has made the most of her Idol boost; even surpassing Kelly Clarkson's success. I think Chris Daughtry has done the best out of the non-winners.
Is that really true? Both Kelly and Carrie have been successful, but I had thought that Kelly had far more hits. On the other hand, Carrie's success might be more in the country music area which is usually off my radar.
And these days, it seems like I can't turn on the radio without a Daughtry song coming on within 15 minutes. That may be fleeting, but it's certainly overpowering for now.

Josh Gracin comes through town singing country festivals, just about every year. George Huff came through with a gospel revival. I hear Elliot Yamin's song all the time, even on the airplane's music channel.

In terms of recent success, Carrie U may have the edge, what with Kelly's feuds with her (old) label and such.
But with her recent signing with Reba's production company, Carrie may not even be the most successful country Idol before too much longer.
DOn't know about record sales, but KC's video duet with Reba kicked Carrie's butt all over the map.
