Yay for Starfish and Nelly (well, duh) to be with me on the extra R! And, in answer to your question, Spunky, in our family we intentionally comment that it's getting hot in here just so we can start singing. Same principal as when a room needs to be picked up and we ask what's going to be done with all that junk. Well, the kids and I do, my mom has no idea wtf we're doing and my sister just rolls her eyes at us. Ha!

I know we (I shouldn't say we, since I don't talk like that) in The Lou have a tendency to pronounce "or" and "er" sounds as "ar", but that doesn't seem to quite go with Nelly's spelling.

I've lived here all my life, and there are still a lot of St. Louisisms that go right over my head (I have never, EVER been asked where I went to high school, for example....)
