Spoiler
Thanks for the clarification on the rules. I had no clue that answering the QoD meant double or nothing. No more joke answers for me!

1. I'll go with Michael Landon, since while I watch Survivor, I don't have a clue about almost any of their last names (Richard Hatch excepted), and I doubt that anybody was named Dan Blocker or Pernell Roberts. Of course, if we're talking about a show other than Bonanza, I'm screwed.

2. Sheesh. I've watched every episode of AI since Season 2, and I have no clue who was eliminated during Queen week of Season 5. I'll go with the one I was rooting for in Season 5: Chris Daughtry.

3. I've never seen one episode of Dancing with the Stars, but I know this. It's Scary Spice.

4. Another reality show I've never seen, and on this one I have no clue of the answer. I'll guess Young and the Restless.

5. I don't even have a guess.

QoD - I know this one. Flavor Flav.

Bonus - 911 is a Joke.

Spoiler
1) Not a survivor fan, and unfortunately don't know this answer. Would guess Michael Landon.

2) BUCKY! It seemed like during this particular season there were a lot of non-winning contestants that ended up doing quite well on the outside of AI. Then again, Season 5 was the first season I watched it, so I'm definitely not an expert.

3) Scary Spice

4) Can see the face, but can't think of the name.

5) No idea. Wow, Peter Brady, eh?

QOD ---OOH, I know this ONLY because of you Ms Fantine! FLAVr-Flav!

QoD - Bonus - No idea

I hate reality shows too (except for "The Amazing Race" -- which usually IS amazing -- and "Beauty and the Geek" which can be hysterically funny), so I'm REALLY embarrassed to admit I actually KNOW some of these....

1. The only Survivor I know is Richard Hatch, who's namesake was in "Battlestar Gallactica" with Pa Cartwright.
2. OK, Season 5 was won by Taylor Hicks. But I have no idea what people were singing when. I'll go with the unobvious, even though I don't believe you're a hard-rock fan. Chris Daughtry.
3. "Scary Spice"
4. Isn't Caroline Rhea the host(ess)? Hmmm.... I'll go with "Days of Our Lives," since both shows are on NBC.
5. NFC. Twiggy, Jr.

QOD: Flava Flav

Bonus: They had an album called "Fear of a Black Planet" (which I think spawned "Fight the Power," from Spike Lee's absolute best movie)...so maybe there was a song called that, too. "Fear of a Black Planet," final answer.

Quiz questions: Fire at will
QOD: Double or nothing of your quiz points or 10 points if you answer the QOD only.
Bonus: No penalty, no bearing on any other score or answers. You can still answer the bonuses even if you didn't answer any of the other questions.

I hate reality shows. I hate them because all I have to do is watch one episode and, if it's an elimination type show, they've got me for the duration. I guess it's just human nature to have the need to know "what happens next". I also get way too attached to my favourites. Not on the par with the little old ladies who would pummel Susan Lucci in the supermarket with their pocketbooks yelling "you bitch!", but enough so that I get misty when they get kicked off.

REALITY BITES - ANSWERS

1. This Survivor shares a name with an actor who co-starred in a tv series with Lorne Greene.

Richard Hatch

I used to watch Battlestar Galactica because I loved Richard Hatch. My mom has watched Survivor since the beginning and I was all excited when I found out Richard Hatch was on it. But not for long. Ha!

2. I never watched American Idol until I got suckered into watching one of the audition shows in Season 5. I was rooting for the finalist who was eliminated on Queen week. Who was it?

Bucky Covington

I was amused by Caro's comments that 1. he didn't think I was a hard rock fan and 2. he thinks Chris Daughtry is hard rock.

3. My mom’s favourite contestant on the latest Dancing with the Stars was Mel B. What was her “Spice Girl” name?

Scary Spice

Sporty Spice was Mel C.

4. The current host of The Biggest Loser has a long running role on
what long running daytime soap opera?

Days of Our Lives

Apparently she's Marlena's daughter, although I haven't watched since Samantha (Marlena's sister) was murdered.

5. The first winner of America’s Next Top Model has not only made subsequent appearances on at least three different VH1 reality shows, she also managed to bag Peter Brady. Who is she?

Adrienne Curry

QOD: After this Public Enemy hype man appeared on The Surreal Life, he spun it off into two other reality shows, one of which had two spin offs of its own. Who is he?

Flava Flav

Five Point Bonus: Name one (and only one) Public Enemy song not titled “Fight the Power”.

The ones mentioned were: Fear of a Black Planet and 911 is a Joke.

I figured 911 is a Joke would be the most popular but KT proved that sometimes just taking a shot works! Sadly, appadad doesn't get points because the answer was one song not titled Fight the Power and he named five songs as well as Fight the Power.

1. I know you have eclectic tastes (similar to me), but wasn't sure that, outside of thrash metal, you were a big fan of good ol' fashioned rock. I'm pleased to hear you are.

2. Well, he's not heavy metal, but I'd call it hard rock. Harder than, say, Maroon 5. Not so hard as, say, AC/DC. Harder even than the first winner of the hard rock/heavy metal Grammy, even...but then, giving that to Jethro Tull (as good as the album was) was a crime.

The main reason I went with Chris Daughtry, though, was the he was MY pick for the best of that season of AI.
