GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's always better to root for the underdogs and these guys'll be up against it almost as bad as my Giants last year. Plus, according to multiple reports, Mrs. Warner promised the kids a puppy if Kurt wins the Super Bowl, so if you're on the fence and you root for the Steelers you're rooting for children to not get a puppy. You sick sick bastards!
Now I notice some of the members of the Bored are already taking sides and no offense meant but Sprots I'm calling you out!(It's really a compliment 'cuz I know you can take it.) Now I'm okay with the fact that you want to root for the Steelers and post celebratory threads about them because your team's not in the playoffs however:
You do NOT get to use "We" for a team you are rooting for in the playoffs. "We" is for your team and your team alone. It's like you're cheating on your Broncos Sprots...What will Ms. Christie think???We'd be way more ahead if not for that one. Sigh.
So if you think that Unfaithful Puppy Haters should be stomped out then let's hear from you! Join me in wearing Red on February the 1st. My posts until then will be in the appropriate color to show my support...
stiller nation doesnt care who you root for
stiller nation only wants committed fans
stiller nation would rather play a team with fans like the Iggles, than a team who is an afterthought in their own city

You are not a supporter of the Cardinals - you are a supporter of whoever they are playing.
That is sorta Bandwagon fanishness.

They may not have played their best game but Leinhart came in at the 3:27 mark of the third quarter. I would also like to thank the entire NE coaching staff for embarrassing us so badly we came together and produced the next 4 games. I guess you ween't one of the fans boing when we broke the shutoutTook the QB out in the second quarter

I will be hoping for a Cardinals win in Super Bowl XLIII.
I admit that my support for the Cardinals is more of an anti-Steelers thing.
I don't hate the Steelers, and I do like several of their players, but I just can't hope for them to win a 6th Super Bowl.

That's got to be an "in a vacuum only" rule. If I had married a Yankees, Cardinals, Cowboys, Rangers, Bulls, Lakers, etc fan, there's no way I could be rooting for those teams. And I'm willing to admit that there are good people who root for most of these teams (not the Yankees and the Cowboys)BackInTex wrote:Now dubbed the SUT rule.SportsFan68 wrote:Ms. Christie is a married type person, so she understands the Rule of the Second "Us" Team. Once your team goes out, if you are a married type person, you are automatically qualified to cabbage on to your spouse's team as your Second "Us" Team, for the purposes of saying "We this" or "We that" or "Such and such happened to us" until that team goes out, which, upon that happening, you don't have an "Us" Team until next year when we start over.
When the Stillers or Pirates or Pens go out, and we're still in, SteelersFan is a Broncos, Rockies, or Avalanche fan by virtue of the Second "Us" Team rule.
Thanks for the opportunity to introduce this exciting concept under the brilliant and original name I just invented.

There is another Second Us In Triumph Team situation. For example, Colorado did not have a baseball team for a long time, but my older brother is a big baseball fan. So, he was a Giants fan for a long time, mostly because he was such a big Willie Mays fan. So, in addition to being a Dbacks fan, now that he lives in the state that brought you Ev Mecham, he can still claim the Giants in a SUITT situation. If he'd stuck around in Colorado until 1993, he could claim the Rockies too.

That's crap. You want to support another team because yours is out of it that's fine. If you use "We" for two teams you suck at life. A guy can't be bisexual just because he can't find a girlfriend. If you do not immediately renounce this ridiculousness Sprots then I will never again pity you because of the Broncos because you are not a true fan. I like you so I'm not pulling any punches. Your significant other can manage without your "We" SLUT rule or no SLUT rule. Don't be a bigamist.

In professional sports, I don't have 2 teams in any league, but in College sports, I have 3.
Baylor (undergrad & law school)
North Carolina (grad school)
Oklahoma (state of my birth and raised an OU fan)
Sometimes, those interests conflict.
The most interesting time was this football season. When Baylor played Texas Tech, it was better for Baylor to lose to help OU, and Baylor really didn't have anything to play for (couldn't get bowl-eligible), but I still found myself rooting for Baylor to win.

I'm more forgiving in this case because you personally have an actual connection to all involved teams. If I were judging however, I'd say just take Oklahoma and drop the rest, however it sounds like you're closer to Baylor, so my official ruling is that you should at least try to root for Baylor above all. If that doesn't work then get a patch and try again...TheCalvinator24 wrote:In professional sports, I don't have 2 teams in any league, but in College sports, I have 3.

A few years ago, college basketball gave me a wonderful double.
UNC won the men's championship, and Baylor won the women's. Back-to-back nights of basketball joy.
