I got 86ed from helping make gravy -- kept slopping it all over the stove. That was not my intention, I'm just a terrible stirrer. I told that story to Thursday's hostess, and she won't let me stir either.

I've been relegated to bringing the champagne. :mrgreen:
Pealette learned early on, anything you don't want to have to do for the rest of your life, be bad at it. No one will ask you to do it ever again.
That truly was not not my intention -- I really liked helping Mom do just about anything. I still miss her like crazy.

She decided that gravy slopped all over the stove wasn't helping.

I didn't mean to infer that it was your intention.

I do know that if you wanted to make great gravy while remaining neat, you would become a better stirrer.

As for the golf - I think you might be right on that one - that is from personal experience.
