What kind of food do you like?

I really like Fiorella's Smoke Stack for BBQ. (I think that is the name)

"The Lion King" is doing a month-long stay downtown.

The Sprint Center just opened recently, and they really are publicizing the new "Power & Light" entertainmnet district for bars, clubs, and restaurants.

You could see if the KC Wizards are playing soccer.

Skoop earlier this year really enjoyed the Negro Leagues & Jazz museums.

There are several very good music venues in the downtown and Westport areas.

Where are you staying?

Um...I know I've been pissing people off left and right this week, so I might be on ignore...but...

...I lived in Lawrence, KS, and I've already confirmed that HD is correct that most people in the region call it KCI.

I'll go back to being invisible now...

I've gone to KC about 20 times now. I've been to Kauffman Stadium and.....

And.....

And.....

Uh.....

That's it.....

I would never be on any city's bureau of tourism.....

You've never been to Royals' Stadium?

I guess the Royals must suck so bad that even a baseball fan doesn't want to see them.

Thanks for the report, Appa. My wife is taking me on the Imagination on 11/21 for my birthday. We like to cruise a lot and have not yet been on the Imagination. This ship just started doing 3 and 4 night cruises from Miami. It had just moved here.

Thanks again and I am glad you had such a great time!

Oh.

Does George Brett still play for them?

Do they at least still suck?

Ha!

Twenty two years this Sunday, baby!

Congrats on your anniversary and a most excellent cruise. Anniversary cruises are THE BEST!

Also, though my memory is faulty and it's been forever, I lived in Overland Park and worked in the Kansas City environs for awhile back in the seventies and Wichita from '75 til '80 and I seem to remember the airport as KCI also. MCI just reminds me of the telecommunications assholes from my dotcom days. What is and what is really used sometimes differs. Even if it is the actual call letter list.
Well, then

I think that you will have a good time! We took the kids and in-laws on the Imagination around Memorial Day 2005.

Recently, they added water slides for the kids and adult "kids". Needless to say, I had to slide! At the top, waiting to go, the wind had to be gusting 40-50 mph.
