Well here we go. Congratulations, Canada!

The government (ie: Trudeau) has started freezing bank accounts, credit cards, etc of individual people it has put on a list. And the banks are cooperating. (According to this and other reports). I guess it's OK for a central authority to confiscate the property of citizens they deem undesirable. (where did they do that before?) Just wait until YOU become undesirable. By that time, who knows what powers they will have given themselves?

Motions to withdraw from committee aren’t debatable on the floor so she got more leeway than she was entitled to. She’s welcome to debate the motion itself in committee. Nothing nefarious going on here, except perhaps for the Republicans deliberately flouting procedural rules designed to ensure that the body can get its work done.

And I don’t remember you complaining when Michigan Republicans a few years back refused even to take a roll call vote. —Bob

Remember you're talking about Canadian law here, and the division of powers between national and provincial governments is different from the US. It's not fair to compare a Canadian federal exercise of power with state's rights in the United States.
