Who Needs a Tiger When You've Got a Shark?

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:43 pm

No Tiger Woods but a story equally compelling with Greg Norman on the verge of making history. Out-of-touch me didn't realize he'd married Chris Evert recently.

I was rooting for David Duval but it took him one hole to wave goodbye to his chances.

I've got to wonder though how a healthy Tiger would have fared out there this week....

At 53 he is trying to be the oldest golfer ever to win a major. And he just married Chris Evert three weeks ago, so it has been a good month for the Shark.

Meanwhile, on this side of the pond, Michelle Wie was in contention but was disqualified for leaving the tent area without signing her scorecard Friday. I know she's young, but every pro golfer knows the rules. She still needs to do some growing up.

How awesome that a guy my age can really, really contend this far into a major!

David folded - too bad, he seemed to have his confidence back. I think he is behind Baby Boy now.

Exciting morning and early afternoon in the Peahen household.

I can go one better, I had no idea she wasn't still a Lloyd. Ha!

Greg Norman is the Australian that wears the plantation hat, right? I have no sportive basis for liking him, but I do.
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

I think he's the golfer who once fell down Bubba's steps and broke a leg.....

I don't know if you are being cute or just confused.

Bubba broke his ankle on Norman's step, not the other way around.

Kinda sad. I was hoping he could hang in there. But he did look kind of tired on the final day. Chrissie musta been wearing him out with her serve and volley...

Yup. Too many "love" games.
