In Genesis 2:22, God creates Eve from Adam's rib, transforming flesh with X and Y chromosomes in every cell into a human with only X chromosomes - the first instance of sex reassignment at the cellular level.

Then in Genesis 3:15, God says to the serpent: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed.” Many Christians understand the woman's seed to be Jesus. They believe the Holy Spirit miraculously transformed Mary's ovum, with an X chromosome, into a zygote with an X and a Y chromosome - another sex reassignment.

Ancient Jews and Christians had no knowledge of molecular biology. They didn’t regard Jesus as trans. This just shows the folly of basing modern medical ethics on Scripture. There are good scientific rationales for the traditional definition of the sexes, as well as scientific counter-arguments. I imagine Kirk would relish that sort of discussion.

I don’t defend the George Floyd riots - if you break the private property of other people, you should be prosecuted - but it’s a little dense and perhaps a racist of you to think that these situations are immediately comparable.

In case of Floyd, it wasn’t just that one episode, but many episodes where African-American have been targeted by police and killed for a questionable reasons. In that case, it happened on camera, and it remains, despite the thoughts of one person here in particular, difficult to understand why Floyd needed to die for passing off a counterfeit bill.

It was also done by several people acting on behalf of the government, so when you are mad about what the government does, what do you do? For some reason, I think if Joe Biden had instructed a military sniper to kill Kirk, there probably would not be peaceful protests.

You know that fervent sense that you have that people are always trying to get you, even though they aren’t? That constantly being targeted is a reality for African-Americans in this country.
