Answers/points:

spline - a flexible wood or rubber strip used especially in drawing large curves
splake - a hybrid trout of North American lakes
splendid - magnificent; very impressive
splinter - a small, thin, sharp piece of wood, glass, or similar material broken off from a larger piece

Note: I did put splendid and splinter together as sort of a Ted Williams Easter egg (he was known as the Splendid Splinter). Well done by esto to find it.

splatter - to move, fall, or hit something in large drops
splint - a strip of rigid material used for supporting and immobilizing a broken bone when it has been set.
splay - to extend apart or outward especially in an awkward manner.
splutter - make a series of short explosive spitting or choking sounds
spliff - A marijuana cigarette, often a large or very potent one. (Do not look up SSS's word sploogie - you've been warned)
spleen - an abdominal organ involved in the production and removal of blood cells in most vertebrates

Same as Saucy, I'm sorry I missed this one.

The only reason I woulda got spliff is because there's a "Lickety Spliff" in Stephen King's Doctor Sleep.

OK, I'll splain.

Abra is looking out her bedroom window at the Lickety Split Convenience Store when the queen bitch of castle hell invades her thoughts. The kids call it Lickety Spliff because the ones who smoke dope do that around the dumpsters around back. So in Abra's mind, it's Lickety Spliff, and that's what the queen bitch catches before Abra throws her out.
