So sad to see this. We posted threads at the same time so I deleted mine. I'm going to stay up until 11:11 tonight and light a candle in her honor.

Sounds appropriate. Donna was so sweet. I am so sad right now.

She made a quilt for our granddaughter.

Oh, no. I'm completely shocked as well as saddened. I didn't remember that she was ill, even though she posted about it in March.

This is the saddest. I’ve enjoyed her posts here, on FB and private conversations over the two decades about kids, grandkids, quilts, fantasy football, and of course Bored matters. I will miss her.

I had been tipped off that she'd been ill for a while, but this is still awful to see this announcement.

I will always cherish the quilt she made for me (twice, as the first was lost in the mail), as well as the Snuggle Bear plush she included who entertains my blog audience.

Not to mention two decades of being extremely nice to me. 11:11 still makes me think of her...

Yesterday, i was going through pictures, the group of pix from the NYC get-together among them

I was laughing at our "Evenly Gorgeous" team name at trivia.

When Boonie and I were in CT for a family wedding, she drove us to the train after lunch and a tour. It was such a fun and wonderful remembrance.

A toast tonight at 11:11 it is.

I'm sad about this. One of the few Jipters I've managed to meet. We traveled to NYC by train and auditioned together. Plus she was a fellow chemist. Every time I see 11:11 on the clock or anywhere else, I always think of her. Sending prayers for the family.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Very, very sad news. I was concerned after she posted about a 3 week stay in the hospital and then nothing really after that. We met a couple of times in NYC. She was one of the best.

I must have missed that post. I also missed noticing that the last time she posted on Facebook was in March. Hey, I hardly post anything over there any more, either.

So, when I read her daughter's post this afternoon, I was shocked, too.

RIP, Christie.

It turned out to be her last post here. I think I must have assumed, when she posted that she was back home, that it was a scary incident that she'd successfully put in her rear view mirror. I'm very sad that wasn't the case. --Bob

Oh no. This is as sad as it gets.

She was a wonderful, generous soul. She sent me cookies when I said I'd never heard of that particular kind!

Well, that sucks. After 20 plus years we are bound to be losing people in this fashion, but she was a classy dame and it hurts more than I would have expected.

I looked at her posts and she had posted very infrequently for several months prior to that March health update. And looking at Vandal's thread about her "day" reminded me of the number of Bored members who just seem to have faded away over the years. A very melancholy day today.

Seemed to me that she usually tried to keep a positive attitude when things round here got a little...contentious. RIP to a well respected BB.
