NY Gov. Cuomo: "An investigation into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo found that he sexually harassed multiple current and former state government employees."
Given these findings, which are unambiguous, I think it's likely that the (Democratic) New York Legislature will impeach and remove Governor Cuomo. All 19 Democratic members of New York's House delegation have already called upon him to resign.

Unlike national Republicans, the Democratic Party is willing to clean its own house.
"The White House’s message, the president’s message, the vice president’s message, my message, is all women who have lived through this type of experience, whether it is harassment or abuse or, in the worst case, assault, deserve to have their voices heard, deserve to be treated with respect and with dignity,” Psaki said.
Yes, Jen (and Bob), you feel that way except for Tara Reade, who has WAY more evidence than Christine Blasey Ford ever did. When will she be heard?

FBI Admits It Got 4,500 Tips on Brett Kavanaugh—Then Punted Them to Trump Team
The FBI has revealed that it received 4,500 tips during its investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh but only passed some of them along to White House lawyers, ignoring countless others. In a June 30 letter to Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Chris Coons (D-DE), an FBI assistant director, Jill Tyson, said that “all relevant tips” from a batch of 4,500 received during a 2018 investigation into former President Donald Trump’s top pick for the court were passed off to the office of Trump’s White House counsel Don McGahn, whose handling of them remains unclear.
It also was unclear from the letter whether or not the agency had tracked down any of those leads and how many were in fact consequential. In an apparent effort to justify its handling of the investigation, the FBI said it was conducting a background check rather than a criminal investigation, which meant that “the authorities, policies, and procedures used to investigate criminal matters did not apply,” according to the letter.

Whitehouse blasted FBI director Chris Wray in a statement on Thursday afternoon. “This long-delayed answer confirms how badly we were spun by Director Wray and the FBI in the Kavanaugh background investigation and hearing,” he wrote on Twitter. “I charged that the ‘tip line’ was really a tip dump, with all the tips going straight into the dumpster without investigation. In fact it was a tip dump where all the tips went straight to White House Counsel without investigation. Same difference.”

On Wednesday, the Rhode Island lawmaker and six Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee fired back in response to Tyson’s revelation about the passed-off tips, demanding more information about the agency’s discussions with White House lawyers and questioning why the FBI declined to interview Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh. “Your letter confirms that the FBI’s tip line was a departure from past practice and that the FBI was politically constrained by the Trump White House,” the senators wrote on Wednesday. “It also belies the former president’s insistence that his administration did not limit the Bureau’s investigation of Justice Kavanaugh.”

The sheer number of tips that appear to have been ignored corroborates claims by individuals and firms who said they had contacted the FBI with credible accounts relevant to the investigation “only to be ignored,” the senators said. “If the FBI was not authorized to or did not follow up on any of the tips that it received from the tip line, it is difficult to understand the point of having a tip line at all,” they added. Tyson’s correspondence comes years after Whitehouse and Coons initially wrote to Wray in 2019, demanding answers about how his agency had overseen its review of Kavanaugh.

In response to the Justice Department’s letter, lawyers for Blasey Ford said it confirmed that the FBI’s investigation was “a sham and a major institutional failure.” “This never should have been an ordinary background check. The FBI should have referred the evidence it was receiving to the Criminal Investigation Division,” attorneys Debra Katz and Lisa Banks wrote in a statement. “FBI Director Wray must answer the question as to why he failed to do so.”

You're kidding, right? There was a full investigation and plenty of actual testimony. 4,500 "tips" given the whackeyness of a little over half this country is miniscule. And I'll bet there were only a couple hundred tipsters.

Oh, and quoting Ford's lawyer is silly. Lawyers always say their clients are telling the truth. And anyway his/her lips were moving so there's that.

The tips went to Donald Trump's lawyers, so there's no telling how many of them merited further investigation. 4,500 tips regarding a specific person and incident is a lot, and I'm sure some of them were wacky but we'll never know.

The "plenty of actual testimony" consisted of Kavanaugh and Ford. Period. The FBI later interviewed ten people, total. All of them came from the list that Republican senators submitted; none from the over 50 witnesses that the Democrats provided to the FBI. It was a one-week background check of handpicked witnesses, none of them involved with the allegations from the second complaining witness against Kavanaugh.

If you don't think Trump had a hand in this, look at his reaction when Kavanaugh has voted against him on his election fraud claims.

So you're saying that Pelosi is so grossly incompetent that she couldn't find a single corroborating witness with potentially (allegedly) thousands to choose from?

Lisa Lerer and Sydney Ember wrote:Soon after Ms. Reade made the new allegation, in a podcast interview released on March 25, The Times began reporting on her account and seeking corroboration through interviews, documents and other sources. The Times interviewed Ms. Reade on multiple days over hours, as well as those she told about Mr. Biden’s behavior and other friends. The Times has also interviewed lawyers who spoke to Ms. Reade about her allegation; nearly two dozen people who worked with Mr. Biden during the early 1990s, including many who worked with Ms. Reade; and the other seven women who criticized Mr. Biden last year, to discuss their experiences with him.

No other allegation about sexual assault surfaced in the course of reporting, nor did any former Biden staff members corroborate any details of Ms. Reade’s allegation. The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden.

The confirmation hearing for Kavanaugh was a Senate hearing. Pelosi had nothing to do with it. The Republicans on the committee sent the list of witnesses to be interviewed to the FBI. The Democratic suggestions were ignored. The findings of the FBI went to Donald Trump's lawyers. No corroborating witnesses were allowed to testify. The evidence was there (and some of it has been reported since). The Republicans just chose to exclude or bury it.

After Reade's allegations became public, seven other women came forward and said that Biden either touched them inappropriately or violated their personal space in ways that made them feel uncomfortable. That's a far cry from dozens or hundreds. However, none of those seven felt that Biden's actions amounted to sexual harassment or assault. None of them went public with their complaints at the time they occurred or talked to Biden (or apparently anyone else) about it. Further, these were all very brief moments. That doesn't excuse Biden's alleged actions, but the workplace and political culture have evolved over the years and what's considered unacceptable now was considered trivial not too many years ago, especially when no one says anything about it. You could probably look at every long-time, prominent politician and find similar stories. It's a far cry from what Andrew Cuomo, Brett Kavanaugh, or Donald Trump have been accused of. Ironically, that was Andrew Cuomo's "defense" of himself, dredging up dozens of photos showing him touching or in close contact with lots of prominent people over the years. None of those photo ops involved the level of fondling that the complaining women against Cuomo have brought up.

I'm not surprised that Fox News keeps bringing these things up. Their staff and producers are experts on the subject of sexual harassment.

I'm talking about all of the videos of Creepy Joe touching women without their permission, and even worse, creeping up behind them and smelling their hair. People like you say, "Oh, that's just Joe. He's from a different era." Never mind that it has NEVER been appropriate behavior to sneak a whiiff of a woman's or girl's hair. Unlike Cuomo, I don't believe there are any pictures or videos of him doing this to men.

Again, out of all of these videos, only seven women (other than Reade) said anything about it when reporters investigated, and none of them felt that what Biden did amounted to sexual harassment. And, more important, no one complained or commented about it at the time in any manner. Obviously, they didn't believe that the degree of contact with Biden was that offensive.

They did not interview every single girl from the videos. Some of them are clearly creeped out. Look at their expressions and you won't have to ask them if they were uncomfortable or not.

While for the sake of argument, you could say that reporters from the mainstream media might not be too eager to find women willing to complain against Biden, there are plenty of reporters at Fox News, Newsmax, Breitbart, and who knows how many other right-wing organizations who would love to paint him as the next Harvey Weinstein. Why haven't they been out beating the bushes, interviewing those women? Or is it just easier to make assumptions about whether these women were "clearly creeped out" and that what Biden did constituted sexual harassment or assault?

I believe all those organizations have reported on this. Your left-wing media clearly coddled your senile candidate, while ignoring serious issues about his character and competence. I recall a post-election poll where a determining number of Democrats said they never would have voted for Joe had they known about ANY ONE OF the following: His history of racism and racist comments, his #MeToo issues or the clear evidence of corruption provided by his son, "the smartest man he knows."

These women and young (some VERY young girls) do not have to be interviewed. The proof is all on videos taped over many, many years. Perhaps you are unaware of what constitutes sexual harrassment.

Read, learn and tell me again that Joe didn't do these things:

The key here is "unwelcome." No one other than these seven women have complained. Workplace standards have evolved, and there has been an educational process at work. I won't deny that some of the incidents recorded had they occurred today, would have gotten a different reception. It wouldn't have taken much for Joe to change the way he acted if someone had spoken up. The biggest effect that the #MeToo movement has had is in increasing lines of communications at the workplace about what is and is not acceptable behavior. Anyone who has been in the workplace for a number of years, male or female, knows that things that were commonplace 20 to 30 years ago don't occur nearly that often today.

Again, if you look at almost any long-time politician, you'll find a lot of cases in which they had close contact with a lot of people. As far as the young girls are concerned, it wasn't that long ago when it wasn't uncommon for strangers to pat children on the head and compliment them. The workplace atmosphere has changed.

Is Joe Biden a saint? No. But attempts to elevate what he's said and done over the years to the actions of rapists like Trump and Kavanaugh (while denying or ignoring what they've done) are ingenuous at best and hypocritical at worst.

I'm not sure why you're engaging. Anyone who claims as anything other than a matter of political hyperbole that President Biden is senile is clearly disengaged from reality. We've seen what it looks like when the person in the Oval Office is untethered from reality and lacks the mental capacity for the job. You see the refusal to acknowledge obvious realities, public suggestions so far removed from reality as to be actively dangerous to those who follow those suggestions, and a complete inability to effectively discharge the office's responsibilities. We haven't seen any of that for nearly seven months. --Bob

So you think a pat on the head is the same as surreptitiously sniffing someone's hair? No wonder you defend that freak!

And you think Biden's behavior would have been affected by #MeToo? Probably as much as the Civil Rights movement tempered his racist comments, behavior and legislation!
