RIP Howard Schnellenberger

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sat Mar 27, 2021 4:03 pm

College football coach who brought Miami back to national prominence and won its first national title in 1983. The school was on the verge of dropping football when he was hired after serving as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins undefeated season. He also coached at Louisville (another program in terrible shape that he turned into big winners), Oklahoma, and started the program at another Miami school, Florida Atlantic.

Age 87.
