I had the same feeling about Ken's voice, initially. Either he is lowering it, or I'm getting used to it. I doubt I'll watch much of Cooper. I think he's one of the biggest elitist asses in the country.
Glad they cancelled their plans to use Couric.

You're correct. I don't know where I saw she was cancelled. I previously read about all the "concern" by producers. I really thought I had seen an article about them actually cancelling her. Oh well. Jeopardy fans might want to catch last night's episode of The Conners. One of the storylines involves Jackie's (Laurie Metcalf) efforts to become a Jeopardy contestant. By the end of the show, she was told that she'd been accepted into the audition process, so this may develop further later in the season.

I was not particularly fond of Ken as host. His voice just isn't right for the gig.
I think Brad Rutter would be a superior host, but I think they will pick someone who will be just fine. My suspicion is that it might be someone who is relatively unknown.

Mrs. SSS and I saw a trailer today for Free Guy, an upcoming film with Ryan Reynolds in which he plays a video game character come to life who becomes a real world sensation. The trailer included a clip from a fictional Jeopardy episode in which Alex reads a question about Reynolds' character. It appears that this was Trebek's last cameo film appearance. The Trebek sequence starts about 1:20 into the trailer.
