My cousin's in-laws.
My cousin Marge's son Doug married Bao Quyen, whose parents were/are Vietnamese refugees.
While they were dating, we had a series of family get-togethers (since Marge and I are part of 25 cousins on TLAF'S side and Quyen's extended family is almost as huge). Marge and I are particularly close and TLAF and I went to a couple of them.
Quyen's grandparents are mesmerizing storytellers. The story of the Two Sisters Rebellion and jumping in the river rather than surrender really stuck with me.
