Doubtful. Besides just testing positive doesn't mean that he will experience symptoms (unfortunately).

How did Drumpf get a virus that is "a hoax" and "hardly affects anyone"?

Trump is supposedly suffering "mild" symptoms, according to the latest White House press release.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel has also tested positive. Mike Pence and his wife have tested negative.

Donald Trump 9/29/20 at Presidential debate wrote: I wear a mask when needed, when needed I wear masks. I don’t wear a mask like [Biden]. Everytime you see him he’s got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away and he shows up with the biggest mask I’ve ever seen.
Although Biden (and Chris Wallace) were more than six feet from Trump, studies have shown that singing or shouting spreads the coronavirus-carrying droplets further, especially indoors. And there was a lot of shouting going on Tuesday night. I am a little worried about Biden and Wallace.

There are also reports that Trump's entourage in the audience refused to wear masks either, although, again, there was social distancing between the various groups of attendees.

I hope it will make at least some of his followers take this more seriously. They don't just infect each other at these Trump rallies; they go home and infect the people who bag their groceries and wait on them in restaurants and are next to them in public restrooms (I had this experience last night and it was extremely discomforting for me for the 15 seconds or so that it lasted before I could zip up and get out of there).

I was at my doctor's office yesterday when a man started coughing. He went to a water fountain, moved his mask down, and took a drink. He was still coughing afterward when he walked closely behind me with his mask still down.

As Rachel Maddow said, no one would wish this virus on anyone.

But still, in light of Donny's behavior, there are many people for whom I have more sympathy. In a move that echoed their refusal to clearly warn the American people of the threat to our lives and our health, Donny's White House tried to keep secret that Hope Hicks had tested positive. The press unearthed that story. That means Donny knew by early yesterday that he had potentially been exposed and should be self-quarantining until he had again been tested, but instead he continued to meet people, in person and without masks.

Such as at a fundraiser in Bedminster, New Jersey. He met a whole bunch of donors. Even took selfies with them. And not a mask in sight. If any of them catch COVID-19 as a result of that exposure, I hope like hell they sue Donny for damages. Because that, he will deserve. --Bob

Trump didn't just know he might have been exposed. He was exhibiting some symptoms yesterday like a raspy voice. And here's what he had to say to Sean Hannity last night only a couple of hours before his diagnosis became public:
Donald Trump 10/1/20 wrote: You know, it's very hard — when you're with soldiers, when you're with airmen, when you're with the Marines, and the police officers — I'm with them so much. And when they come over to you, it's very hard to say, 'Stay back, stay back.'
So, it's not his fault, It's never his fault. it's those soldiers and police officers who want to get close to him. Of course, as commander in chief he could force every member of the military at one of his functions to wear masks and practice social distancing, and as a practical matter he could do the same with the police force.

Here's a quote from the BBC article:
While his words were confusing - and while he has at times downplayed the severity of the disease - he didn't directly call the virus a "hoax".
Perhaps you don't think the President of the United States has a responsibility to the American public to avoid "confusing" statements and level with them about the severity of a disease that he knew full well as he admitted to Bob Woodward. That's always the pattern with the Trump apologists, parse through everything he says a half dozen times to arrive at the least harmful interpretation and go with that. In the meantime, his target audience hears "coronavirus" and "hoax" and comes to the conclusion he wants.

I have to say this. Joe Biden and Barack Obama have handled this situation with the far more dignity than Trump would have had Biden contracted the disease. Biden has pulled all the negative ads from his current media rotation. Don't expect the Trump campaign to do likewise. All you need to know about Trump is that at a time when he wasn't feeling well and knew that Hope Hicks had tested positive, he went to a fundraiser with some of his biggest would-be fat cat donors. That's how he treats the people who are loyal and support him: by deliberately exposing them to the coronavirus.

This did not come from the Biden campaign but from Meidas Touch, one of the many anti-Trump PACs out there.

Tweet from former POTUS Obama:

Michelle and I hope that the President, First Lady, and all those affected by the coronavirus around the country are getting the care they need and are on the path to a speedy recovery. Obviously, we’re in the midst of a big political battle right now, and while there’s a lot at stake, let’s remember that we’re all Americans. We’re all human beings. And we want everyone to be healthy, no matter our party.

It's increasingly looking like the Rose Garden event last Saturday where Trump announced the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court may have been a superspreader event where these cases originated. The President of Notre Dame, John Jenkins, also attended the event and has tested positive.
