Well that sucks. No one else could have been Olenna Tyrell. RiP

I recently learned that her Avengers name was a pun off of a measurement of female "hotness,' if you will; male appeal, usually abbreviated "M" appeal.

And she was about the only lead actor in OHMSS that was up to the role.

Wow. I was a late-comer to Game of Thrones, and hadn't realized until today that she was Olenna Tyrell. I'm kind of surprised that I didn't recognize her, and that I never heard it mentioned that she was she. I agree that she was wonderful.

I knew of her from The Avengers but hadn't kept up with her career for quite awhile.

Sorry to hear this.

The Jeopardy Curse strikes again, even in reruns!

RIP Mrs. Peel (and the one and only Mrs. Bond!) And I'm smiling imagining my Dad being first in line to welcome Dame Diana to Heaven (he was certainly a fan  )

The second of Mr. Steed's assistants to pass away this year. Rigg's predecessor, Honor Blackman, passed away in April. (Of course, Blackman also had a famous connection to James Bond as Pussy Galore.)
