Weakest Link Returning

#1 Post by Buffacuse » Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:00 pm

According to a promo I saw during golf coverage this weekend--on NBC and with Anne Robinson.

I had mixed feelings about the show, and its obvious attempt to combine WWTBAM and the gamesmanship of Survivor. I liked the action and I liked Anne, but week after week, the obviously smartest contestants got voted off by everyone else who perceived them as threats. I kept wondering what it would feel like to be on the show, be blitzing all the questions, only to be eliminated precisely because you are good.

Ultimately, not a fan and unlikely to watch if the above remains the same--any show which requires you to play dumb to win, IMHO, sucks.

Jane Lynch is hosting this new version. Sept. 28th is the first ep., so I'm guessing it will follow ANW on NBC.

Oops on that part...but here's a thought: why not give the top contestant each round immunity? Then, let the rest fight it out?

I applied three or four months ago but I never heard back. That could be due to my HS appearance.
