Black Mamba and Black Panther in the same year? Officially done with 2020 now. Pack it up, boys. No more.

After Boseman's death, there was one final tweet posted to his Twitter account containing a statement by his family about the death. It has become the most-liked Tweet of all time, with over 6.5 million likes and three million retweets in less than two days.

The statement mentioned that Boseman had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment and various surgeries since before he filmed Black Panther and the two subsequent Avengers movies (also 21 Blocks and Spike Lee's Da Five Bloods, which were physically demanding films as well). A truly remarkable actor.

Boseman had completed one last movie before his death, the film version of August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom with Viola Davis.

Indeed. The world has been deprived of what should have been a long and brilliant filmography.

The work was only part of it. He constantly visited sick kids and lent his time to other charitable causes. From all accounts, he was a truly remarkable man, too.
