Jimmy Kimmel to Host Celebrity-Driven 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' for ABC
Set to bow Wednesday, April 8, on ABC, the new Millionaire will feature celebrity contestants playing for charity. Additionally, a new interactive game app will allow viewers at home to play alongside the stars and win the same amount of money the celebrities are playing for on the show.
Michael Davies wrote:My professional career has been inextricably linked with Jimmy’s since the days of Win Ben Stein’s Money, and he was one of the first-ever celebrity contestants on Millionaire in its original run. I can’t wait to work with him on this dynamic new version of the show that changed my life and the fortunes of so many who benefitted from and simply loved the game.

Please tell me that it was a nightmare that I had years ago that WWTBAM did months and months of Celebrity Millionaire. Nobody would actually do that, would they.

Maybe this will lead to at least occasional episodes with real players instead of celebrities. (Hey, a guy can dream.) --Bob

The operative word is dumbshit, ie, celebrity. Not the amount. I would probably melt down or flame out, so no judgyness here on real people.

Have you noticed that the flags at the Disney parks look like this?

As someone who traveled far and worked hard for a shot on the show, I have to agree with that. I was especially disappointed in Elway. Lucky for him he's so good in football.

Well, some kind of play-along app.
Have the details for that been released, yet? I just tried clicking on my old bookmark for the official SyndieBAM page, but I discovered that now links to the Disney homepage.

I read you will be playing for the same amount as the contestant. No idea the logistics of how it will work. Highest score in the fastest time wins? How about time zones? I imagine people will just be mashing buttons instead of reading the questions...

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
