The Conners Get Political

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Jan 08, 2020 2:23 pm

This one could be interesting.

The Conners, which is essentially a reboot of Roseanne minus Roseanne Barr, whose character died when she got booted off the show, is planning a live episode to air February 11. The date wasn't chosen randomly; it's the date of the New Hampshire primary, and the show will revolve around the election reporting. The characters will be watching the results as they come in as part of the scripted episode, but I've got to think than there will have to be a good bit of improvisation to sync up with the live results coming in.

ABC also announced they will be doing a live production of Young Frankenstein in the spring as well and another live Norman Lear special (I hope they do Maude this time).
