Two weeks later saw the annual Great Northern Palm Shaving Festival, which also includes the 100 Meter Blind Man's Dash.

I curious whether they were just judged on speed and distance or whether there were style points awarded as well.

Conover is just south of the border with Michigan's Upper Peninsula. And those sure look like Yooper women...which would make them, uhh, ringers...
