Purported victims, 14 of whom were also detained by police, claimed that sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear, in what some residents said was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure.
For most non-gay men, I think that any man touching their genitals would cause them to shrink.

But what do I know.

No worries, there is always the other one!

Of course they are only divided by a river and the capital of the other one, Brazzaville, is literally directly across the river. And the people there are probably just about as likely to believe this nonsense as the people of Kinshasa.

If there were a Congolese Chamber of Commerce, they would be very upset about this news getting out. It's bound to have a major negative effect on tourism.

Most places don't even want visitors to hear that their wallets might be stolen.
