President Trump
Just wanted to be the first to post it.
No endorsement, just a fact that he is POTUS.

Don's first official act: Cost many first-time homebuyers a bunch of money by postponing indefinitely a scheduled FHA rate cut. Buyers relying on FHA loans can basically count on paying an additional mortgage payment every year. --Bob

Well, Bob, if I posted every time EX President Obama did something I didn't like, I'd take over 1st place in the Bored Posting list. Grow up and get over it. Your candidate lost. Donald Trump is the President, and the republicans have majorities in both houses of Congress. Just like 2008 in reverse. We dealt with it. It's your turn. Have some class.Bob78164 wrote:Don's first official act: Cost many first-time homebuyers a bunch of money by postponing indefinitely a scheduled FHA rate cut. Nothing at all about biology... Ignorant Bigot... Potential Future Pariah... Big Nerd... Spiraling, Anti-Trans Bigot.. A Lunatic AND a Bigot.. Very Ignorant of the World in General... Sounds deranged... Fake Christian... Weird... has the mind of a child... Simpleton... gullible idiot... a coward who can't face facts... insufferable and obnoxious dumbass... the usual dum dum... idolatrous donkey-person!... Mouth-breathing moron... Dildo... Let me be very clear about this. Donald Trump is a man who has bragged about his ability to use power to grab women by the genitals and to do so with impunity. He merits contempt and disrespect. And I will not be complicit in adding one iota to his power by referring to him with the honorifics customarily afforded to the occupant of the office he is in the process of degrading. --BobEstonut wrote:I don't recall him ever referring to "Barry" or "Hill," either.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Well, Bob, if I posted every time EX President Obama did something I didn't like, I'd take over 1st place in the Bored Posting list. He did not. Look at the video and listen to his words. He was BS'ing with Billy Bush and he said that women let stars do what they want. "Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything." He never said that he had done so. More tellingly, none of the women that Gloria Allred dragged into the spotlight accused him of such behavior.Bob78164 wrote:Let me be very clear about this. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they did. She's got a reputation for handling this sort of thing pretty well, a judgment shared by some of my colleagues. If a woman in my life had a high-profile harassment issue to deal with, I might well recommend her and I've never met her. So it doesn't surprise me at all that potential plaintiffs would reach out to her.Estonut wrote:You really think they contacted her?Bob78164 wrote:Gee, you really don't think much of women's ability to make their own decisions, do you?Estonut wrote:the women that Gloria Allred dragged into the spotlight

How many of those women sought her out prior to her solicitation of October 4th, 2016?

Doesn't come close to supporting your statement, which is quite insulting of the women who came forward, that Ms. Allred dragged anyone into the spotlight. --Bob

Re: President Trump
And it's very common in rape and sexual harrassment cases that women don't come forward because they are afraid of the publicity and being branded a slut or a money grubber, but once someone does, the floodgates open. The same thing happened with Bill Cosby and his accusers.Estonut wrote:

Gloria Allred merely showed that they had a high powered law firm ready to take on Trump if they wanted to pursue the matter.

As I recall, BiT, you referred to President Obama pretty consistently as "Barry." Let me provide you with another argument to support your position. Donald has been so respectful of our country's traditional norms of political and civil discourse that I should reconsider my determination not to afford him the courtesies usually accorded to the occupant of his office. --BobBackInTex wrote:Your recall is as good as your politics. Their main strategic focus the last weeks/months of the election was when to drop the tapes. They "Knew" beyond a shadow of a doubt that when they dropped those tapes-the election would be over.
Therefore, they did not have to worry about Wisconsin/Michigan/Iowa/Pennsylvania. Why worry about those states? They had those tapes that would seal the election for Clinton.

And as you see above, when he is proven wrong, rather than admitting he is wrong, he changes the argument. He has done that many many times. Never admitting he is wrong, guilty of doing what he criticizes other of, or for even doing what all humans do, make a mistake in judgement every now and then. Nope, he changes the argument. I call that being hypocritical.

No, the worst thing was the announcement by Comey a week before the election of the re-opening of the investigation. Hillary had momentum and that stunt by Comey cost just enough in the aforementioned states.Spock wrote:I have thought, ever since the election, that the worst thing that happened to the Clinton campaign (Bar None) was that they dug up the Billy Bush tape.
But for right now, I don't think the Democrats need to adopt a scorched earth policy like Bob suggests. That just plays into the Republicans' hands. As today's press briefing indicates, Trum will continue to demean the office and shoot himself in the foot on a regular basis.
My question is how will he react when he has some genuine bad news to report and not just grousing about the size of his inauguration turnout.
