The Boney 500: Album #69

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Tue Sep 20, 2016 10:52 am

69. EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY-ROD STEWART (1971)

45 years later and counting, and Rod has never made another album close to being as good as this one, to my ears anyway.. Mixing folk and country
elements on the mellower material with some basic rockers, it's consistently good listening with good variety. With each album
following, Rod's music got more and more flash and image. Yes, he's made some good music since this album, but there have been
too many "Tonight's The Night"'s and not enough "Reason To Believe"'s.

So much coincidence with this album's posi..er....ranking, it makes me smile.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I'm pretty sure none of Rod's wives were even born when this album came out.

I was sure that Alana had been born by then, so I looked it up. It turns out all 3 were, but Penny only beat the album by 2 months. :)

I'm guessing several of his kids (known or unknown) were, though...
