Author whose first novel, Shoeless Joe was adapted into the movie Field of Dreams. Many of Kinsella's other works also concerned baseball, although none became as popular. Kinsella, a Canadian, died as a result of a doctor-assisted suicide that has now been legalized recently in Canada.
