Merry Christmas

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Thu Dec 24, 2015 8:12 am

and a safe one to you all.

Church with Mom and Dad this evening, then home to spend Christmas Eve with James, as he works at 8 am tomorrow morning, then out to Mom and Dad's for Christmas day, home again that night, as James works Sat morning too.

Glad I got those new tires

We had a nice Festivus.

Merry Christmas to you
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Happy holidays, Saucy! I'm just taking a couple of days to sleep in. --Bob

Merry Christmas Saucy!

We are doing the same traditions we've always done. Christmas Eve and gift exchange at my wife's sister's home. Then Christmas morning brunch and later, a formal dinner at our house. Probably won't go see a movie like we usually do. My wife's brother and his family are flying in from Oregon and will visit and have dinner before they head out to catch a cruise.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

As God is my witness, someday I will cruise at Christmas....somewhere hot and sunny, with pools, bars, and ...well, other things....

Peace on Earth to persons of goodwill.

Tonight, we are doing three fishes - for the Trinity - and not seven for the Sacraments.

It's been a couple of years since we went all out for TLAF and I am not quite up to doing seven fishes for just the two of us.

So, sardines on crackers, tuna cakes and anchovies in green salad.

On Christmas Day, 10 a.m. Mass at St. Malachy.

Present exchanges on Sunday with my goddaughter's family and on Monday with Boonie's family.

Tomorrow night or Saturday night, we'll drive through the neighborhoods and look at the Christmas lights.

My Christmas Eve dinner with my granddaughter was pho. My wife and daughter had pizza. I'll have some sort of frozen meals today. Ho ho.
