It's a shame that only two of the names on the list are still regulars around here. Happy birthday to all!

Maybe not regulars, but there are some on that list who are bored members.

How about 5? Mine is 4/15.

Or 6? Beckford's also is 4/15. Is she still around?

As corrected already, I'm not, nor have I ever been, Corn. She's much younger. And I suspect, smarter. I usta was tgirl. I'm not so much a girl anymore, so now I'm tlynn.

I was also thinking there are some familiar names on there we don't see enough of anymore. I know it happens, but I don't have to like it.

I knew that, really I did, but somehow between my brain and my fingers I got confused.

Thanks! Replacing all of the thes that I accidentally deleted from 8 manuscripts was a little fun, but the rest of the day should be great fun.

Happy Birthday, Vicki, wherever you are!

Love,

OH my heck! Are you serious? That is a lot of THEs! (hmm, that sounds wrong) What did you do when you realized what you had done? I definitely think that FUN is in ____ picture for ____ rest of ____ day after that!

Hugs to you!

I kept copies of the original files and did a global search to highlight all the thes in them. Then I sized my windows so I could see the original and the theless files next to each other so I could easily see where to replace the thes. There were about 250 thes in each article, but not all of them were needed. I got into the trouble in the first place because the macro I made to intentionally delete the articles from the figure captions was a little too aggressive.

The UPS man just brought me my birthday present from my guys: level 1 of Rosetta Stone Italian. Our goal is to go to Venice in 2012 when my son graduates from high school. I'll be asking you for Italian travel tips.

Oh how fun! I must say that Rosetta Stone is by far my favorite language learning device. For me, it taught me in a way that enabled me to retain the information, naturally. Of course I supplemented it with some other software/DVDs/CDs/Classes, but I could have easily gotten by with only Rosetta Stone.

One fun thing that I subscribe to is:

http://www.transparent.com/wotd/index.htm

You can pick the language you want and then get a new word of the day each day as a daily email. Looking at the page, I see that you can get the new word via RSS as well.

I'm very excited for you!

Cindy

I have that one! Got it last year when we were on an Italy kick...but sadly, we haven't gotten into it much, other than to say 'cat in the airplane' and 'man in the car'. You will quickly surpass us. I have no doubt!

And to all: thanks for the birthday greetings. :P

Happy B-Day MMFF!!! :D

The New Jaguar I bought for you as a gift should be pulling up to your driveway any day now....unless of course my driver ran out of Gas Money on his way there from the OC! :P
Remember 32 is the new 23 or something like that, actually my cognitive skills have been evaporating rapidly since I turned 35 or was it 53? :?

The gas will get cheaper as the driver heads east...I'm sitting in the window waiting for the arrival now. WOO HOO! New Jag! Yay! Thanks DS! 8)
