Who's Ready For Some Football?

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Mon Aug 31, 2015 7:31 am

I think the Bored football picks thingie has been left to me the last few years, so I'll go ahead and get it started now...

http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem

Group Name: WWTBAM

Group ID# 28656

Password: squirrel

As we've been doing the past few years, this pool does use confidence points to go along with picking winning teams.

I am so happy to be joining a sports game where I can't have a no hitter thrown against me every week...

I can't seem to join the group.

I am interested in showing how bad my forecasting skill is.

And if anyone wants to join the fantasy side let me know.

It wants the group id not the group name.

I'm in, under the name "You Know Why I'm Here".

Week 2 was quite a bloodbath with all the upsets.

Having the best W-L record is meaningless.

I lost my grip on second place this week, but I'm only 5 points out. Still plenty of time left in the season, so I don't have to resort to pulling a Belichick yet.

I have no idea how I kept the lead after such a crappy performance this weekend. In fact, my 21 point lead is odd given that the only week I had the top score was the first week. But the wheels seem to finally be coming off the Squirrels bandwagon...

Week 8 standings:

1. LB's Evil Squirrels 671 78-41
2. Vandalians 635 78-41
3, TClark45 631 71-48

5, You Know Why I'm Here 618 74-45
6. Shameless Weasel 612 75-44
7. Skippy 611 69-50
8. andrewjackson 578 63-56
9. MarkBarrett 482 61-42

TClark wins the week but Vandalians also jump over The Boneheads. LB stays in first and expands his lead.
Everyone except MarkBarrett and I have won a week. Skippy is the only team to have won twice.

Congrats andrewjackson for winning week 9. I'll try to win Week 10 after putting myself in the early hole missing the first week.

Well, this looks like the start of my eventual downfall....

Could they have just stopped playing FB after the early games Sunday?

Week 9 standings:

1. LB's Evil Squirrels 720 85-47
2. The Boneheads 687 88-44
3. You Know Why I'm Here 677 82-50
4. Vandalians 675 83-49
5. TClark45 674 77-55
6. Shameless Weasel 659 80-52
7. Skippy 656 76-56
8. andrewjackson 641 71-61
9. MarkBarrett 536 69-47

Hey, hey, I won a week! That was after forgetting to post my picks until Friday so I automatically missed the Thursday game. And I won by losing. If I had been correct on San Diego winning then I would have finished 2nd to The Boneheads.

In the overall, LB stays on top but The Boneheads and You Know Why I'm Here move up into 2nd and 3rd.
