More lunacy from Texas

#1 Post by elwoodblues » Wed Apr 29, 2015 3:09 pm

New Texas Governor Greg Abbott has assigned the Texas Guard to monitor a federal troop exercise in Texas because some of the tinfoil hat crowd is afraid these troops might try to take us over or take our guns or something.

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/ ... over.html/

I can't even remember Rick Perry doing anything like that. We are dealing with a whole new level of crazy.

Well, given that the Feds, this administration, ran guns across the borders that ended up getting a law enforcement agent killed, I wouldn't call the 'trust but verify' effort lunacy. What would be lunacy is putting your complete trust in an administration that runs guns with drug dealers and negotiates to allow Iran to have nuclear weapon capability.

Do I think the military is up to something no good? No, but neither did these people. Or these folks.

Or these folks.

And of course these folks knew what was happening and trusted the military when they said "Trust us. It will be OK. We know what we are doing."

I don't think he is part of the tinfoil hat crowd, but he does seem to pander to them. It is just that I couldn't believe he would think there was anything to worry about from those military exercises in Texas.

Who the heck knows? Are you saying that anything the federal govt does is all peachy keen? That they couldn't possibly fuck up the operation in any way, just out of incompetence? Not that that has happened in the last couple of years. I mean really.

More lunacy from Texas?

You want to see lunacy? Watch George Stephanopoulos accuse Peter Schweizer of partisanship.

But there's no bias in the media, right?

(For those of you that might not pay attention, or those of you that robotically refer to Fox News as "Faux News", Stephanopoulos was the former Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton and now is the "trusted" political anchor for ABC "News".)

Nope. No income tax here. Maybe he'll buy an expensive car (sales tax) and a big house (property tax).

You buy it hook line and sinker, don't you?

Did Woodward and Bernstein have any DIRECT evidence against Nixon, BJ? Does an author have subpoena power, BJ?

To investigate a conservative, the standard to launch an investigation is the 'seriousness of the charges'. (Tom Foley, former Speaker of the House "Even though there is no evidence, the seriousness of the charge is what matters") To investigate the Clintons, you have to have their fingerprints on the murder weapon. Actually, it looks like you have to have the murder victim be resurrected and be interviewed on Fox News (because the networks wouldn't get near it) and say that Hillary was the murderer. But then the drones wouldn't believe it anyway, because it came from Fox News.

Hillary is, as Dennis Miller so eloquently put it, the Queen of Full of It.

Did you read Abbott's letter to General Betty? What is wrong with it?

I would be concerned if a large military operation were being conducted off base, in civilian territory, regardless of who is in office. Abbott's letter says nothing about preventing a takeover or anything. I find the letter very professional and appropriate.

Some folks just can't let it go.

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas ... 333316.php
Could it be, they wonder, a secret plan to pummel Texas with crippling rains, weakening its civilian defenders before the troops swoop in for operation Jade Helm on July 15? That's the latest from many of the first websites to foment Jade Helm fervor in Texas.

"Speculation and actual evidence has been released in the last two days that has many believing that Texas is under attack with weather manipulation technology," wrote the website Intellihub, the "Civilian Intelligence Agency," on Wednesday. "Some believe the reason for this attack is to soften up the area in advance of Jade Helm 2015 going live."

Remember Jade Helm 15, the controversial military exercise? It’s over.

The Army labeled it a success. I'm not sure. Rick Perry dropped out of the presidential race, but Ted Cruz is still in. (Wait, was I supposed to keep that under wraps?)
