A record for screws ?

About a month ago, I fell off a ladder onto a concrete floor. The impact shoved my tibia down into my ankle and broke it (tibia) into five pieces. The next morning, I had two hours of surgery to put two metal plates and Eleven screws into my ankle/leg to hold everything together. This is my fifth week of trying to get healed up out of the predicted eight to twelve weeks of recovery. My modes of mobility are now crutch, walker, and wheelchair. I recently saw a news article about some basketball player who had one screw put into his foot for a stress fracture and it eventually broke. That got me to thinking. Most of the stories of athletes getting screws put in involve one or two screws. I was curious as to whether any of y'all had any aquaintances (or worse-yourself) that needed a large amount of devices put in to help an orthopedic screw-up heal. Any of them have more than me ?

I thought Wilt Chamberlain claimed the record for screws.

My daughter broke both feet and ankles about a year ago. She had screws, pins, and plates implanted. She didn't count them all but she'll probably set off the magnetometer the next time she flys.

She's been told she's going to have problems for the rest of her life. She's suing the owner of the houseboat that had the ladder that broke. He also refused to have someone take her for medical help for two days and then abandoned her there (at Lake Powell, AZ) so she's also suing for that.

I hope your outcome is good, quickly.
