Light bulb non sequitur
I went to the store today. I forgot to buy light bulbs. The world is getting darker around me.

That's how I feel about them, too.ontellen wrote:I know they're great for the environment and cheaper in the long run but I get so sick of waiting for those curly ones to brighten up when they're turned on. I want instant gratification and I want it now!
I was thinking about putting the fluorescent ones in two places where it's difficult to get to the bulb-changing, in hopes that they'll last longer so I don't have to mess with it for years. (I know they assure consumers that the curly ones will last "for years." I do not believe them.)
I don't know if they make me sick. I have been having more migraine auras since I put the new kind in the bathroom.

I have way too many lightbulbs in my house. It seems like I never have the one I want and I have to go buy more.silvercamaro wrote:I went to the store today. I forgot to buy light bulbs. The world is getting darker around me.

We have 18 ft ceilings in our living room. Several of the recessed lights burned out and I went to Home Depot to get a light bulb changing thingie. (That's the technical term.)
It took a lot of concentration and I was able to unscrew all of the light bulbs and take them down. I made the kids and cats leave the area and wore my sunglasses because I was terrified that I was going to break the bulbs.
When it came time to install the bulbs, I couldn't quite get the hang of it and after trying for a half hour, decided to leave it for Jeff, who was able to easily install the light bulbs.
So the answer to the question, "How many Suchards does it take to change a lightbulb?" is two, although Jeff probably could have done the job by himself.
