Lyrically Speaking - 1/24/14

#1 Post by High School Slutatorian » Fri Jan 24, 2014 3:00 am

Like, my teachers all tried to tell me when I grew up, I'd need to, you know, learn how to spell, and stuff. I'm like, seriously? Isn't that what Spellcheck is for? Like, duhhh Mrs. Pruneface! Srsly, I don't even spell out words now that I only communicate by texting my BFF's. Spelling's like totally a waste of tyme. These artists got my back, like totally! They spelled their songs however they wanted to... and if you can, like, spell them the same way they appeared on their albums, you can totally score a bonus point! OMG! Awesome! Oooh, I need to go look up a totally kickass meme for this! CUL8R!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 1 point for spelling the title "correctly"....

1. Too many mountains, and not enough stairs to climb
Too many churches and not enough truth
Too many people and not enough eyes to see
Too many lives to lead and not enough time

2. I was like, good gracious ass bodacious, ah
Flirtatcious, tryin to show faces
Lookin for the right time to shoot my steam (you know)
Lookin for the right time to flash them keys

3. So you think I got a funny face, I got no worries
And I don't know why
And I don't know why

4. Hold me darlin', come on listen to me,
I won't do you no harm;
Trust me darlin', come on listen to me
Come on listen to me, come on listen, listen.

5. Mama's so happy
Mama start to cry
Papa still singin'
You can make it if you try

6. You could travel the world
But nothing comes close to the golden coast
Once you party with us
You'll be falling in love
Oooooh Oh Oooooh

7. I'm talking pedicure on our toes, toes
Trying on all our clothes, clothes
Boys blowing up our phones, phones

8. Sorry, girl but you missed out
Well, tough luck that boy's mine now
We are more than just good friends
This is how the story ends

9. How about no longer being masochistic
How about remembering your divinity
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out
How about not equating death with stopping

10. How do you like him so far
How do you like his show
How do you like the way
He rocks and the way he rolls

11. Gimme the microphone first
So I can bust like a bubble
Compton and Long Beach together
Now you know you in trouble

12. Wasn't it you
I begged to stay
Wasn't it you
Who just laughed in my face
Maybe it's true
I'm not your kind
The kind you leave behind

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that was released with an intentional incorrectly spelled title.

5 Point Bonus: Give me the Dan Quayle spelling of the word the Vice President infamously spelled wrong while visiting a classroom in 1992.
